Beast of Burden

As I leave the small town of Oceanside, and the sun begins to make me perspire, I decide my pack indeed is too heavy for such a long walk. I strip the pack own to the bare minimum packing the sweater, rain gear poncho and a long list of other junk into a box which I promptly mail to New York. [I keep the dress pants and shirt in hopes I will be able to find nice places serving wine at least on some nights.] The pack is now a reasonable 10 pounds. I have no camping or cooking gear. God willing, I do not plan to ever sleep under the stars
