Fantastic Canaima
I spend my morning walking, at times fast, through the exquisite grounds and gravel paths of the Canaima resort. The accommodations are thatched huts right out of a jungle motif. The main dining hall is an open air affair protected from the elements only by a palm fjord woven roof. Now this is resort living!
When not walking the next best exercise is swimming. A fresh water lake sits at my doorstep. It is fed by seven excitedly romantic water falls. The water is a dark brown due to tannic acid coloring from the hundreds of nearby plants and trees. Swim, walk and then walks some more becomes the routine. Well, that is until tomorrow.
