As my walking companion John Fredricks and I shake our buddies over countless hills we are impressed by the serenity, the bleakness, of the Illinois country side. We are both from Northeastern United States and don’t often have the opportunity to experience such landscape beauty, even f it is in the winter time. On pushes us on. For lunch, just in time, we arrive at a grammar school to tell the children of our cause and of our adventure. Sadly, I know that tomorrow our epic walk will end and rapidly I will need to fly back to the world of big business in New York City.
