Pirate Town, Saint Thomas
When I come here I am usually relegated first to walking the town. It is more interesting than following the narrow roads again up hill or to the outer edges of the Island. The shops here in Charlotte A Male cater to everyone. High end gold jewelry and Chinese made tee shirts linger side by side. The shops have water so my walks can be a bit faster. But then again there is the traffic, and too much of it. I usually walk in the early morning before the throngs of tourists awake. If my walk is long I will roam all the way to the airport. There I will stop by the beach for a swim. Here the waters are always crystal blue. And the locals? Well, that depends. Taxi drivers in particular I find to not be as nice as they are in old new York.
