Snow Walking Dublin
Well finally as a person of thick Irish heritage I have an opportunity to walk Dublin the Capital of the Irish Republic. I have a recruiting trip here which means it is a short in and out visit. In the afternoon it snows. I am bundled up but as ice has not yet formed on the streets I wobble on enjoying the sights of this orderly city. It reminds me of a quaint village, I dare say, on that other island across the Irish Sea. I trot up famous O’Connell street making my way along rows of two story houses hidden on narrow side streets. And then of course there are the pubs, a lot of them.
I find my way near the Guinness Brewery and yes stop in a little place with a long bar for a pint. I have covered more than five miles. Next stop, a working dinner.
