Walkers Eat Too

Here I am putting around again. I walk along Calle Alfonzo XIIT and to the Plaza Colon. Then I get hungry. Madrid has many choices particularly for us Irish meat and potato types. There is pulpo, octopus, calamari sandwiches, huevos rotos [spicy egg mixed with local treats], tortillas and yes something called Oreja, a very tasty meat dish made of cows ear. All of this washes down nicely at a sidewalk cafe with local beer or icy chilled wine. Not much walking after that because there is still desert. I wobble over the most famous spot in town Sangines. And there they are churros, a type of fried pastry, dipped deeply in chocolate. Yum!
